Undergraduate Summer Studentships

The NIMR summer studentship programme is aimed at undergraduates who are considering a future in biomedical research. The short placements give students hands-on experience and a true feel of what it’s like to work in a lab.

In 2016, staff from the MRC-NIMR and the CRUK London Research Institute (LRI) will move into the Francis Crick Institute’s new, state-of the-art facilities, opposite the St Pancras Eurostar terminal in central London.

In preparation for the move to the Crick, the Institute is not running the full NIMR summer studentship programme in 2015; however, individual group leaders might still have opportunities in their lab for summer 2015.

Students studying at a UK university interested in undertaking a short placement over summer 2015 should contact group leaders directly. Information about the research taking place at NIMR can be found at http://www.nimr.mrc.ac.uk/research/

To be considered by one of our group leaders you must be studying at a UK university towards a graduate-level degree and you must have acceptable proof of your legal right to work in the UK and no restriction by the Home Office or by the UK Border and Immigration Agency to your entry and/ or continued stay in the UK for the duration of your appointment with the NIMR.
