Science for Health
2006 saw the 4th year of the NIMR Human Biology Essay Competition, with seventy nine entries received from thirteen schools.
There were three rounds of judging: the first two by six members of staff at NIMR, and the third by a panel comprised of three members of NIMR staff, two teachers from local schools and a former member of NIMR. The essays were all read anonymously, without indication of the name of the school or pupil.
Once again the standard of the essays impressed the judges, and we hope that all students who participated thought the effort was worthwhile, learnt from the experience and most of all, enjoyed it!
The three prizewinners spent a day at NIMR, and saw some of the most visually interesting aspects of a research institute.
