NIMR Human Biology Essay competition 2005

Each year the Essay Competition proves more popular. In 2005 we received 128 entries - almost three times as many as last year! The number of schools that participated in the competition also increased by 50% from twelve last year to seventeen this year.

There were three rounds of judging: the first two by six members of staff at NIMR, and the third by a panel comprised of three members of NIMR staff, two teachers from local schools and a former member of NIMR. The essays were all read anonymously, without indication of the name of the school or pupil.

Once again the standard of the essays impressed the judges, and we hope that all students who participated thought the effort was worthwhile, learnt from the experience and most of all, enjoyed it!
