The laboratory manual is available as a PDF document (see Download section). Many of the protocols described here may be regulated by law and require formal permission from local and/or national governments. Xenopus are considered potentially damaging invasive exotic species in many regions.
These protocols were developed by members of our laboratory and others in the Division of Developmental Biology and Biological Services at NIMR, in particular Tim Geach, Anita Abu-Daya, Elisenda Vendrell, Holly Ironfield, Tosikazu Amano, Joachim Kurth, Tadahiro Goda, Mike Reilly, Stuart Smith, Clare Brazill, Yolanda Saavedra-Torres, and Jose Sanchez-Morgado; with contributions from the labs of Derek Stemple, Richard Harland, Rob Grainger, Mustafa Khokha, and Enrique Amaya among others, and the advice and welcome criticism of a large number of Xenopus and zebrafish researchers.
