Research seminars
The Institute hosts an extensive range of seminars which students are encouraged to attend, in addition to regular Divisional seminars.
External lectures
The Mill Hill External Lecture Series is held monthly. Each lecture is given by an eminent scientist, often from abroad. NIMR students are invited to join the speaker for lunch, giving them the opportunity to chat about science and anything else they can think of, in an informal setting. One of these lectures is organised by the students, who choose the eminent scientist they would like to invite.
Mill Hill internal lecture series
A weekly series of lectures in the Institute is given by senior scientists at the Institute. Previous lecture topics have included:
- Malaria: immune responses in protective immunity and pathology
- GAPs in our knowledge of mitosis
- The ion channels of influenza virus
