Careers round table event
We hosted our first careers round table event in June 2010. Six experts representing biotech, communication and policy, events organisation, technology transfer, big pharma and scientific trainers chatted to students and postdocs about their current roles and how they got into them. The informal setting allowed conversation to flow and the event was enjoyed by all. Importantly the students and postdocs walked away with a better understanding of a variety of careers that PhDs choose to do.
