Gordon Research Conferences (GRC) promote discussions and the free exchange of ideas at the research frontiers of the biological, chemical and physical sciences. Scientists with common professional interests come together for a full week of intense discussion and examination of the most advanced aspects of their field. The Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) program, established in conjunction with the Kenan Institute, is a series of 2-day meetings organized by graduate students and post-docs with the support of leading scientists from an associated GRC.
Rachel Farrow, a PhD student from Justin Molloy's group in NIMR's Division of Physical Biochemistry, is co-organising a seminar on Biomolecular Interactions & Methods, to be held in January 2010 in Galveston, Texas. The meeting will bring together scientists from diverse disciplines to discuss the role of fundamental and emerging biophysical methods in addressing important biological problems.
This is a very prestigious event and Rachel has done a fantastic job at organizing a great meeting with her co-chair Anne Marie Stanley from Harvard.
