Applications are invited for a Research Technician position in the research group of Antonella Spinazzola at the MRC National Institute for Medical Research, London. Our laboratory investigates how mitochondria respond to cellular energy demand. In particular, we study signaling pathways that coordinate mitochondrial biogenesis and the key factors that in the organelle enhance mitochondrial function.
Experience in cell culture is preferred. Enthusiasm, reliability and organisational skills are essential. The successful applicant will be expected to propagate three human cell lines and analyze mitochondrial function, as directed by the programme leader and other group members.The applicant is expected to have a Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
The salary range for this fixed-term Band 5 post is from £22,776 per annum inclusive of Location Allowance. This is a 2 month externally funded MRC fellowship. Membership of MRC Final Salary Pension Scheme is available.
