A 3-year postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr Ian Holt at the MRC National Institute for Medical Research. The successful applicant will undertake a project seeking to identify new factors that regulate and mediate mitochondrial DNA segregation.
Applicants will have a PhD (or be in the final stages of completion) with preference given to those with expertise in mitochondrial DNA segregation and computational biology.
This Postdoctoral Scientist position is a 3 year fixed-term MRC funded Career Development Fellowship (CDF). CDFs are training and development positions for postdoctoral scientists who have either recently completed their doctoral studies, are moving into a new research discipline, have limited previous experience of key transferable skills, or are clinically qualified with little or no research experience. They provide opportunities to develop research project skills and develop collaborative links with colleagues within the Institute and elsewhere.
The salary range for this 3 year fixed-term Band 4 post is from £28,867 per annum inclusive of Location Allowance. Membership of MRC Final Salary Pension Scheme is available.
