Science for Health
This software is designed to analyse records containing images of single fluorescent molecules. It is provided free of charge for academic and non-profit making use. We ask that you please reference our publication (1) in Biophysical Journal if you use the programme in your published works.
GMimPro uses a special data format known as GMV. Every image in a sequence (record) has a header containing information about scales, time and so on. RAW data (image sequences) can be imported and converted into GMV file (File/Import data). Other file types (like TIFF) can be first converted into RAW data using 'ImageJ' or other software and converted into GMV. You can also download ImageJ plugins from below to read GMV files or convert other file types into GMV files.
GMimPro is Windows software and will not run on Macs or Unix machines.
Download the compressed files and extract all files to any folder on your computer.
Note: The library files and the exe files must be in the same directory for the software to run.
Algorithms used in GMimPro (described in detail in Mashanov and Molloy, 2007):
GMimPro will be updated periodically, and the help system will be enhanced in the near future. Please check back from time to time to ensure that you are using the latest version. (The library files will not need updating.)
